RETREAT FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED

The Clover Mill is delighted to be hosting a weekend for Sense Adventures who offer guided activity holidays to blind and sighted groups. Owner of Sense Adventures Dee is herself visually impaired and aims to provide the sort of holiday she had often sought for herself but could not find.

The Clover Mill, in conjunction with Sense Adventures, is offering a unique experience for both the visually impaired and sighted to come together for a two days to indulge in a stay at the Clover Mill and to take in the beauty of the Malvern Hills during the day.

The Clover Mill is a haven of sensory sensations with the sounds and smells of the surrounding countryside. Hear the abundant birdsong including owls and we'll have a bat walk after dinner too so you will hear their beautiful calls. Meet and pat the resident alpacas. Smell the cakes baked in the Aga and other culinary delights such as herbs and spices in delicious meals created according to Ayurvedic principles.

Sighted people can also share the peaceful ambience of the Clover Mill by acting as a guide for a blind or partially sighted person.  You can enhance your own experience by enabling your blind partner.

Guide dogs are welcome but must remain on a lead whilst in the grounds of the Mill. There will be the opportunity to free run the dogs in a field above the Mill and assistance with the dogs as necessary. The dogs will love the free run on the Hills during the day. Dog beds are provided in the lodges.

The programme for the weekend retreat is similar to our ayurveda/yoga retreat programme, but in addition, we will have a host of additional sensory experiences!
